In contemporary discourse on environmental artistic practices, the term "Campo" (field) requires a decontamination from any remaining trace of mere geographical or agricultural definition. On a semiological and scientific level, the Campo never constitutes a flat surface to be occupied or a neutral scenographic backdrop; it is the definition of a place of forces in perpetual tension, a dynamic and relational configuration traversed by physical vectors, biological frequencies, historical sedimentations, and future resonances. In this perspective fits the "Listening Zone" designed by Antonio De Luca: not a simple exhibition area or a topographic perimetration, but – on the contrary—a sensitive and germinative opening of relationship.

Over the centuries, the figure of Cain has enjoyed an inexhaustible resonance, making an exact accounting of every artistic and literary interpretation impossible. The generative power of the biblical myth lies in its archetypal force, which constantly regenerates itself in conversation with the contemporary moment – and thus with the stages of self-collective awareness that inhabit it. What could be more relevant, still and always, than the first murder of the human lineage; and to what extent do we feel addressed by this descent? Malefica Semenza (“Malevolent Seed”) is the title of Luigi Presicce’s performance at Il Campo dei Giganti, a site already semantically and aesthetically charged, carrying a message that the artist amplifies through the thematic choice of the original fratricide for his intervention.

Radical Care is an award-winning project under the call “Futura. Puglia for Equality – Third Edition”, promoted by the Regional Council of Puglia. It pursues the overarching goal of strengthening the presence of women within the collaborative ecosystem of artists and researchers at the Campo dei Giganti.
